The New Inn
Eccup Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire
It is perhaps a strange name for a village, with it locals knew it in Old English as Echope, the enclosed land of a man called Ecca. The New Inn presents as an early Victorian stone built pub. However, usually New Inn suggests it is on much older premises. It exhibits ghostly manifestations. these include at least three ghosts, with over the years, employees have seen a ghostly male black figure walk across in front of them, with into the kitchen, where he disappears. It is also haunted by the ghosts of two elderly people, a man and a woman. They have been witnessed sitting near the fireplace.
