The Old Beams
Walshes Farm Caravan Park Dunley Road, Stourport-On-Severn, Worcestershire, Stourport-on-Severn
It can only be presumed that the pub name is after some old beams, perhaps from old barns or off ships. As such, an old inn should have its own ghost. It has Old Amos. This man, a farm labourer, who was a constant customer here until authorities arrested him for some criminal activity, it is not clear what. Whatever, Old Amos , authorities hanged, two centuries ago. His ghost returned to the Old Beams, with he has been in residence since. He sidles up behind people and touches them on arm or shoulder. As they turn around, they observe Old Amos smiling, with then vanish.
