The Angel Inn Hotel
9 High St, Pershore
Situated in an ancient settlement with history from 972 AD when it locals knew it as Perscoran, a slope or bank where osiers grow, the Angel and Posting Inn exhibits ghostly manifestations. These include a most curious fellow not from the medieval period, a monk, or a highwayman but a sailor from the Second World War. He is dressed in a dark, blue donkey jacket. Employees have witnessed him in the dining room many times. His ghost typically stands before the fireplace with his hands locked behind him. Nearby on the River Avon witnesses have seen several apparitions on many occasions. These include a glowing square shape and a six feet tall man floating a yard above the ground.
