It sank into a marsh where all on board expired. Frequently, there are sounds of a phantom coach racing away from the pub, with then silence. On occasion, there have been reported sightings of this ill-fated vehicle. The pub exhibits ghostly manifestations. these include the ghost of the driver of that coach. Witnesses have seen and heard him. He moves around after closing time in the old building. When he manifests, he is dressed in a long black overcoat, with an attached cape around his shoulders.
