The Palace Hotel
Babbacombe Road, Torquay
At one time, many years ago, this was home to the Bishop of Exeter, which later opened as a hotel. Over time, there have been sightings of the ghosts of male servants at The Palace Hotel in Torquay. There are hotel cleaners dressed in old-fashioned garments and in front of house porters. There is also the legend of a man dying here and witnesses see his ghost wearing a black suit. On one impressive occasion, witnesses observed the phantoms of four vicars in close conversation at a round table. They all looked up and smiled cherubic smiles then disappeared.
