The Frogmill Inn
Shipton Oliffe, Andoversford, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
What appears to have been an old manor house and mill, the Frogmill is a delightful, stone built inn. Inside is much in the way of upright and ceiling beams and open fires. It is an ancient village, with the inn name probably came from Old English frogga, a millrace with frogs. Over the years, it haunted by strange mists and voices whispering in the dark. In one room, some guests have been surprised when they walk in and there are the ghosts of three men playing cards. Oddly, descriptions differ, with some people say they are dressed in Royalist uniforms from the English Civil War while others say they are in dark clothing.
