A ghostly man who appears at the bar of this village pub is believed to have been a former customer at the Shakespeare. He , witnesses see, by the proprietor. However, when she points the man out to the barman, the ghost has gone. There are three bars here, with the man , witnesses saw, sitting at the bar without a drink. She later reported that he was a man of middle age, open necked shirt and sports jacket. Coincidentally, there was poltergeist activity in the bar when furniture would noisily rearrange itself. When the tape was later analysed, there was an elderly man in the bar. However, no one recognised him.
