Over four centuries old, this pub exhibits ghostly manifestations. these include a boy of about seven, seen wearing an Eton-style collar and jacket. The lad , witnesses report, to have died in 1825 in sad circumstances, with was , locals knew, by locals to tug on the hem of women’s skirts. There are some people described as ‘sensitives’, with one of these visited the pub in 1976. This sensitive saw a small boy, aged about eight, wearing a grey suit with white collar. Coincidentally, there was a swift drop in temperature he reported. Members of the kitchen staff complain about being touched by unseen hands, with having parts of their bodies tweaked, whilst kitchen equipment is constantly spirited away.
