The Apsley House
13 Auckland Rd West, Southsea, Hampshire
A man employed here as a barman, took several photographs on a digital camera of people drinking in a bar and found in one image, a strange face. It has a rather-pig like expression and very sinister. This curious apparition has also, observers saw, on an upper floor. On the other hand, another ghost moves around customers’ glasses when they are almost empty. At this point, he quietly refills them with beer while they are not looking. The pub has been nicknamed ‘Reedy’ after the actor Oliver Reed, noted for his capacity for drink. The inn sign here shows the house of this name at Hyde Park Corner, London, where once lived the Duke of Wellington, that is now a museum.
