The Bull, 2 High Street, Ditchling, East Sussex
In a building almost 700 years old, the Bull Hotel was listed in A Catalogue of Taverns in Tenne Shires about London in 1636. Bar staff have regularly seen a full pint of beer slowly slide along a bar and then crash to the ground despite there being no one nearby. Shortly after these curious incidents, there is a rattling of the door handle as though someone is leaving. There are reports of locked interior doors opening and closing and paintings on the walls of the upper floor have been moved around during the night. Even more strange have been reports that beds that had been made adopt a slight bump in the middle, as though the pub cat is curled up underneath. However, when the duvet or cover is pulled back there is nothing there although the spot is warm to the touch.
