Olde Reindeer Inn
47 Parson's St, Banbury, Oxfordshire
Set in an ancient Banbury street, this is a 15th century inn of historic note. Protector Cromwell used the pub as his headquarters, when he planned battles throughout Oxfordshire with his staff officers. The Olde Reindeer exhibits ghostly manifestations. these include a Cavalier from the English Civil War, complete with plumed hat and lace ruffles. Those who have encountered him describe the man as being of a rather jolly mien. The huge grey pub cat is , locals knew, as ‘Cromwell’.
