The Hawk Inn is on the principal street in Haslington. It dates from the seventeenth century. The pub has impressive woodwork, including different countenances with various engraved expressions on the outside. The Hawk was once utilized for stabling steeds and the scandalous outlaw Dick Turpin is presumed to have stayed there. It is supposed to have an inhabitant apparition known as 'The Lady in Grey'.
