Front Street, East Boldon, Tyne and Wear
A sad story stands behind the ghost that haunts this quaint old village pub. Frequently employees have come across the figure of a little lad, sitting at the bottom of the cellar steps. He has his head hanging down, with does not look up before he just as suddenly disappears. The lad could be behind some of the poltergeist activity that frequently takes place in the Black Bull. On one occasion, seven ashtrays that had been piled on top of the bar counter, suddenly leapt up and crashed to the floor some distance away. Glasses and bottles behind the bar have started shaking. Meanwhile the lights switch.
