Ye Olde Bulls Head
Main Street, Broughton Astley, Leicester, Leicestershire
With a 1920s style façade makeover, Ye Old Bulls Head stands on the site of an earlier pub. The ghost of a police officer in Victorian style uniform has frequently appeared, standing in front of the pub. Although it does not happen often these days, police officers used to make visits to pubs to ensure they were not selling alcohol to drunks, prostitutes or people under age. This phantom has always appeared as though he was on the verge of going into the pub. However, then disappears when he is noticed by pedestrians passing.
